With roots in the LGBTQIA+ community, Chosen Family Travel has a commitment to create a wide community with shared values of respect, integrity, and equity. We honor our humanity and the power of love by choosing what connections we call sacred, and protecting them fiercely with loyalty and compassion.
Chosen family isn’t a noun. It’s a way of being.

According to our ex’s? The ones who got away.
According to our mothers? Heretics.
Chosen Family was founded by Sydney and Rosey – two queer millennials who have visited over 50 countries during the past two decades. We’re seasoned solo travelers and experience designers with a passion for connecting people and facilitating one-of-a-kind encounters.
As foreigners living in Buenos Aires, we speak the language but we don’t pretend to be natives.
At the end of the day, our strength comes from our ability to act as a bridge and connect you with locals and experiences that will make you fall in love with Argentina. Not just the “typical tourist highlights.” We have curated an incredible itinerary which showcases the nuance, diversity, and charm of the Argentinian culture.

About Sydney:
Sydney is a thirtysomething leo from the Pacific Northwest who has been living and travelling in Latin America with her Turkish cat since 2022. She’s passionate about the art of gathering and creating intercultural and inclusive spaces filled with curiosity, warmth, and stimulating conversations. Having worn many hats over the years as a teacher, community organizer, and writer– Sydney leverages her “acts of service” love language to create access to and respect for authenticity and unconventional life paths.
About Rosey:
Rosey is a southern California native with a background in visual and performing arts. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she has lived in South America since 2019. She is passionate for creative living, regenerative practices, and fostering deep connections between people and the natural world. She believes that supporting women and land stewards is the bedrock of a resilient future.
